My name is Mubina Maqbool, founder of Melting Moments. Here’s a little bit about me and how Melting Moments came into being.
Born out of a serendipitous moment while working in the field of HR, I discovered an uncanny passion for the art of cake decorating. The first birth made for my son’s third birthday way back in 2009. Little did I know, this moment would forever alter the course of my career, leading me on a delectable journey.
Driven by the sheer joy of bringing smiles to the faces of friends and family, I ventured further into the realm of baking, honing my skills and crafting delectable creations and introducing bold new combinations. As these delectable flavors and themed cakes were sought by many, the idea of building a cake career seemed not only enticing but necessary. Thus ‘Melting Moments’ was founded – my home-based business where sugar enchantment and dreams in edible form became a reality.
Fueled by an unwavering desire to inspire others with my passion for baking, I embarked on a journey of sharing my expertise through workshops. Aspiring indulged.
I firmly believe that desserts possess a magical quality and serve as a wonderful catalyst for bringing people together. Melting Moments is a haven where not only treats are baked to perfection, but also where memorable moments are shared and cherished.
Merging my passion for creating, baking and inspiring has led me to chronicle my culinary adventures through the written word. Years of research and recipe testing have been poured onto the pages of my two cookbooks: ‘A Co Secrets’ published in 2018 followed up with ‘Cakes, Desserts and Beyond’ published in 2022.
Within their pages, you will find a wealth of carefully curated recipes, featuring a wide array of delectable treats, desserts and cakes. The recipes meticulously crafted, with detailed instructions and insightful tips to ensure your baking endeavors are a resounding success. The cookbooks have recognition from esteemed local publications such as the Gulf Daily News, Gulf Weekly, Woman This Month, and Layali Magazine.
When I’m not immersed in baking or writing, I find solace in reading, basking in the warmth of the sun or savoring a delectable brownie. It is through interludes that I find the inspiration to continuously innovate, reinventing the boundaries of what is possible within the realm of baking.
